When you mix two seasoned songwriters like Aimee Mann and Ted Leo, the results are an alt-rock fan’s dream. Apart, Mann’s critical acclaim in the ’90s only increased upon the release of the Magnolia soundtrack, which earned her Oscar and Grammy nominations. Leo is a rocker and relentlessly energetic leader of his own band, Ted Leo and The Pharmacists. The duo started collaborating under the moniker The Both after a fair amount of time touring and constantly chatting over Twitter. You can hear a bit of what Mann and Leo are cooking up at Wednesday’s performance at Manship Theatre at 7:30 p.m. The show will include solo sets from both performers.
