The next season for Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre begins this month with a performance from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Founded in 1958 by the famed dancer Alvin Ailey, the New York City-based company’s tour for “Ailey II” celebrates American modern dance and African-American culture with works from some of the top emerging choreographers in the country.
