Whispers
Rumors are swirling that the film Celtic Media Centre nabbed this summer is Fantastic Four, a reboot—so no Jessica Alba—of Marvel’s classic comic series. While Patrick Mulhearn at Celtic says an official announcement and press conference on a project is imminent this month, he is mum on whether the film will be Fantastic Four, or if that comic book reboot is shooting elsewhere in the state and Baton Rouge’s big project will be something else all together. Josh Trank of Chronicle acclaim is set to direct Fantastic Four with a release date of March 6, 2015.
Baton Rouge-based film costuming specialist Mollie Gates is dating none other than Jeb Schrute, or at least the actor that portrays him. The bearded, nearly silent Amish-like brother of Dwight Schrute from The Office is played by Thomas Middleditch of Upright Citizen’s Brigade, The Campaign and The Kings of Summer. Gates, who 225 profiled last year, most recently worked on Django Unchained, Twilight and The Butler.
Friends of Trina Edwards, the young wife of former Gov. Edwin Edwards, tell 225 that the new mother set her Facebook page to “private” after being harassed by people who posted photos of her newborn Eli to her wall. The next day, Trina appeared with the infant to film their upcoming reality show The Governor’s Wife for A&E. Sources say she is calling Eli her “Little Prince.”
