Number one stunner – Yellow Jacket contending for a place on Walmart shelves

Baton Rouge tech startup Yellow Jacket and its iPhone stun gun case could wind up on Walmart store shelves, but it needs a little help from its friends.

Sean Simone and Seth Froom’s small business is a contender for Walmart’s “Get on the Shelf.” This competition allows individuals and businesses to submit products they’d like to see the big box store offer.

Currently, Yellow Jacket is in the audition round of the contest. Voting ends Sept. 2. You can vote once a day per product. Click here to vote.

If Yellow Jacket wins, the company could sell its case through Walmart.com and receive marketing support.

Yellow Jacket initially launched on Indiegogo, raising more than $100 grand to fuel its first round of production. The stun gun is not lethal, but it packs a 650,000-volt punch and also contains an extra 16-to-20-hour battery charge. The product is currently only available for iPhone 4/4s models and is available for purchase here.
