Heads up: Get your Fęte Rouge tickets now
Foodies are anxiously waiting for the late August date when Fęte Rouge rolls around. Baton Rouge’s “premier wine and food festival” kicks off Thursday, Aug. 22, with a dinner at 7 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza (Map it!) to honor Capitol City Produce’s Vince Ferachi with a lifetime achievement award. The Thursday meal includes a seven-course dinner, served and prepared by local chefs. Among the dishes on tap are a wild mushroom arancini appetizer from William Wells of Culinary Productions, a tower of jumbo lump blue crab appetizer from Jeremy Langlois of Latil’s Landing, an heirloom tomato salad from David Dickensauge of Bin 77, a braised short rib entrée from Kelley McCann of Galatoire’s Bistro and much more. Tickets for the Thursday dinner are $200 a person and can be purchased here. Tickets for the Food and Wine Fęte on Friday, Aug. 23, at 7 p.m. are also available at $50 in advance here.
