Summer Buzz – Top 10 summer beers
With the heat upon us, now is the perfect time to take a look at the best summer beers. Thanks to a team of many, including the staff of 225 and Baton Rouge Business Report as well as Brenton Day, a.k.a. The Ale Runner and one of 225‘s top 25 Twitter accounts you should follow, we’ve compiled quite the list of brews to beat the heat.
1) Tin Roof’s Watermelon Wheat. Out this week in cans and on draft, this beer from the Baton Rouge brewery is perfect for a beach trip or for lounging by the pool. Click here to find it.
2) Parish Brewing Co.’s Canebrake. A wheat ale made with Steen’s cane syrup—if you’re a fan of this one, Day recommends you seek Parish’s Envie, a pale ale with a big hop aroma and notes of peach and apricot, available at Calandro’s Supermarkets.
