Green fun at Burden Center Saturday

The Garden Fest celebration kicks off Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at the Burden Center (Map it!). The morning starts with a sample of delicious omelets from the Louisiana Egg Commission and Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry. Throughout the day, new Louisiana food and beverage products will be on display, including products made at the LSU AgCenter’s new food incubator. Rounding out the schedule is a cocktail contest at 11 a.m., children’s activities and a plant sale. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-10. Children 3 and younger can attend for free.
