The Great Gatsby (in theaters Friday) – F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel The Great Gatsby is brought to the silver screen again.

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel The Great Gatsby is brought to the silver screen again. This time, director Baz Luhrmann brings his visual style to the table with a stellar cast, including a reunion with Romeo + Juliet star Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby. The cast also includes Tobey Maguire, Joel Edgerton, Isla Fisher and Carey Mulligan. With a soundtrack executive produced by Jay-Z, The Great Gatsby has “hit” written all over it. Time will tell if Luhrmann can tone down his over-the-top sensibility to stay true to Fitzgerald’s timeless novel.
