Like butter

When she’s not being mom to her eight children—six of them adopted internationally—Aimee Poche is busy launching her new line of homemade body butters, body scrubs and lip balms. Called Revive Homemade, Poche’s products come in a variety of natural scents like almond and olive oil, lavender rose, peppermint soy and vanilla brown sugar.

“It started as a New Year’s resolution to reduce the chemicals in our home in a simple way,” Poche says. “I started researching about toxins and experimenting with making laundry soaps without preservatives, and it turns out it was so simple.”

Poche’s brother has eczema, so next she made a non-toxic face wash for him. By spring she was giving lip balms and body scrubs as gifts to the mothers she mentors at her church, and friends began asking her if they could buy more.

“It’s really not me,” Poche says of her early success. “It’s the natural ingredients.”
