Red Star reopening

Last September, downtown Baton Rouge saw Red Star Bar close after more than 10 years. An answer for the bar’s loyal patrons wondering where they could go has come sooner rather than later.

According to an exclusive interview with 225 magazine, the bar’s first general manager and a current event promoter Gabe Daigle says Red Star will reopen in its same location at 222 Laurel St. in the middle of May. Daigle’s wife Robin and Jeff Kaufman will act as co-owners for the new Red Star Bar.
