Culinary Productions and more at Better Block BR this weekend

Better Block BR will take over Government Street from Beverly to Bedford drives this weekend testing out new concepts and demonstrating different infrastructures that could improve the Mid City corridor. Many restaurants will be on hand during the event in a pop-up format, demonstrating how street-front restaurants and businesses, rather than those hidden behind large parking lots, help create viable neighborhood gathering areas and more successful businesses. Culinary Productions will set up a pop-up café, serving up sliders, sandwiches, salads and soups. Phil Brady’s will have a biergarten that will also serve jambalaya. La Carreta will be serving margaritas. CC’s will have a street-side café and coffee shop. And on Sunday, Taco de Paco and other food trucks will set up in the Westmoreland Shopping Center parking lot for a food truck roundup.
