Soundtrack for The Host revealed
Just as the Twilight film franchise ends, another new slate of films based on Stephenie Meyer’s books is coming.
The Host will be in theaters March 29. The film is based on Meyer’s popular book of the same name, and its plot focuses on a young girl who probably has supernatural powers. I say “probably” because who really read The Host? Oh, it was on The New York Times bestseller list for 26 weeks? Cool….In any case, Saoirse Ronan (of Joe Wright’s criminally underrated Hanna) plays Melanie Stryder in the adaptation. Parts of The Host were filmed in Baton Rouge’s Celtic Media Centre Studios, much like silver screen versions of Meyer’s other, more popular work—The Twilight Saga.
A huge part of those Twilight films was the accompanying soundtrack to each film. Over the course of four films, the Twilight soundtracks managed to feature tracks from big-name acts such as Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Ben Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie, Bon Iver, Iron & Wine, and many more.
