WordPlay open mic at the Book Festival

On Saturday, WordPlay Teen Writing Project will host its monthly teen open mic and poetry slam, Freshhhh Heat, at the Louisiana Book Festival. This event will take place at the Capitol Park Museum, 660 N. Fourth St., and will begin at 3:45 p.m. This family-friendly event is open to all ages, but youth interested in performing in the open mic or the poetry slam must be between the ages of 13-19.
