Taken 2 (in theaters Friday)
Liam Neeson is not to be taken lightly. And apparently, neither his daughter nor his wife are to be trifled with at all. The 2008 surprise human trafficking hit Taken has earned not only big numbers from rentals and cable TV, but also a sequel in this Friday’s Istanbul-set Taken 2. Again co-written by acclaimed French director Luc Besson (La Femme Nikita, Leon: The Professional) this new chapter finds the tables turned as Neeson and his wife, played by Famke Janssen, find themselves kidnapped by the vengeful father of an Albanian human trafficker Neeson offed in the original while hunting for his daughter.
With the narrative so closely tied to the original, Besson promises this is the last of the Taken series. Maggie Grace and Luke Grimes co-star. Rated R. Watch the trailer below:
