Uniquely Louisiana opening reception
Where else in the United States but Louisiana does the natural environment have such a dramatic influence on its heritage and culture? Acclaimed for its rich cultural traditions and zesty cuisine, Louisiana’s melting pot of peculiar plant, water and animal life serves up a wondrous and remarkable natural gumbo. The LSU Museum of Art’s Uniquely Louisiana exhibit celebrates Louisiana’s 200th anniversary until Nov. 11. This Thursday at 5 p.m., enjoy a wine and cheese reception for this new exhibit, followed by a screening of the documentary Louisiana: 200 Years of Statehood downstairs in the Manship Theatre.
