Art of Chuck Jones at the LSU Union

The art of legendary Looney Tunes animator Chuck Jones is on display through July 29 at the LSU Student Union Art Gallery. In addition to adapting famous children’s stories such as Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and Rudyard Kipling’s Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, Jones worked with Warner Bros. Studio creating award-winning Looney Tunes short theatrical cartoons, which featured such enduring characters as Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck. His career spanned six decades. The exhibit will include original drawings, animation cells, animated films by Chuck Jones, as well as educational programming about his animation process. The gallery’s summer hours are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
