Shake ‘n Bake and Big Jake

Joe and Tommy were having a normal day, trolling the swamp, checking their lines, just bonding as stepfather and stepson while earning an honest living. All they wanted was to find a few alligators and shoot them and sell their corpses. But then Jake had to go and ruin everything. Having discovered a new spot, Joe and Tommy set out at the beginning of the episode, full of hopes, dreams, and bullets. But there were no gators waiting on their lines, and Joe and Tommy came to the obvious conclusion: the prehistoric predators seemed to have been frightened off—not by the men with guns, but by a big ole bully. Their suspicions were confirmed when they spotted the eyes of a ten-foot bull gator surfacing several yards away. But the gator got away when Tommy hesitated on the trigger, and we’d find out why soon enough.

“Yeah I used to have big kid named Jake back in middle school used to pick on me,” confessed Tommy. “Picked on me, picked on everybody.” So poor Tommy, gun in trembling hand, stood frozen when he once again came eye to eye with a swamp bully, no doubt haunted by flashbacks of swirlies and stolen lunch money. “Jake. Put Jake in the boat,” Tommy murmured as his stepfather wrapped his arms around him and gently rocked him back and forth. Not really. I mean, he did say that, but the only comfort he received was toward the end of the episode when he shot Big Jake between the eyes and won a victory for victims everywhere. And he did it all with the help of Shake ’n Bake. And Tommy helped!
