Calendar: ‘225’ party for May issue in the works … Art, wine, treats and sweets at the Rose Door
A ‘hot’ time: It’s never too early to start planning for a good time, and 225 is already making big, big plans for the release of our May issue. Wednesday, April 26, you’re invited to a Hot off the Press event at Zolia Bistro downtown, where you can enjoy delectable eats, courtesy of Zolia. Specialty cocktails will be shaken, stirred and served; music will play while you mix and mingle with your fellow Baton Rougeans. Don’t miss this most fun way to get your hands on the May issue before anyone else. To RSVP, visit 225batonrouge.com/HOP. Rosy at Rose Door: The private studio and gardens of artist Meg Jones at 1938 Ferndale Ave. will open Saturday, April 14, for an art show featuring new works from several local painters and artisans. Wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres will be served, and all proceeds from the art sale will go toward local dance troupe Of Moving Colors’ upcoming production, Pink, at the Manship Theatre this month. Visit ofmovingcolors.org for more information.
