Easter brunching

In the South, the words Easter and brunch are practically synonymous: An extra-long church service on the heels of a long Lenten abstinence from some of life’s pleasures gives way to an indulgent feast. We asked local Baton Rouge restaurants on Facebook to let us know where you can linger over Easter brunch this Sunday, and here are the respondents:Tallulah: If sautéed crawfish and goat cheese or pecan praline waffles sound like your idea of culinary bliss, then Tallulah is the spot to brunch for you. Monjuni’s: Crab cakes Benedict and champagne hollandaise sauce are just two of the highlights of this restaurant’s Italian Easter brunch menu. Juban’s: Juban’s famous dishes get kicked up a notch at the annual Easter brunch buffet. You can sample everything from grits and pork tenderloin grillades to chicken Sardou, along with a half-dozen varieties of sides and salads, not to mention their renowned bread pudding.
