Tidbits: Juban’s hosts online Easter Egg Hunt … Londoner debuts new menu items and more

Are you looking to score a few free Easter treats this holiday? Then spend a few minutes on Juban’s website today. The venerable restaurant is giving away more than 750 cocktails, appetizers and entrées to those who find one of the eight eggs hidden throughout the pages of the website. Each egg allows you to choose to redeem the prize or keep searching for different prizes. Each prize claimed also includes a single entry into their drawing for a table of four at the Markham Wine Dinner, to be held May 22. All you have to do is find an egg, join their email list and like them on Facebook to receive your coupon and your wine dinner entry. But as time passes, the hunt gets harder—ending on Easter Sunday. Get involved at jubans.com. The Londoner Pub & Grill is shaking up its menu with some brand-new, tasty dishes making their debut this week. Among the new items are shared plates, like pulled pork and spicy slaw sliders; salads such as the Cobb and the seared tuna; sandwiches, including a new turkey burger and a Cockney chicken sandwich; and entrées ranging from steak and penne pasta to steak royale with whiskey mushroom sauce to St. George chicken. You can also sample from a revamped dessert menu that features salted caramel cake, fried bread pudding, and a tantalizing Guinness float, which pairs Guinness stout and organic maple syrup, topped with vanilla bean ice cream. Find out more on The Londoner Facebook page. Vietnamese restaurant Pho Quynh on Florida Boulevard has undergone an ownership and name change. The newly rechristened Viet Garden (Map it!) will focus on a smaller, fresher menu, limited to strictly Vietnamese cuisine. “The old owners tried to do too much,” says new owner Tony Kao. “They tried to do Thai, Chinese. Our menu will just be Vietnamese.” Fans looking for their pho fix needn’t fear, however, as the flavorful noodle soup remains a staple of the menu.
