Zany ‘Zoo’

In We Bought A Zoo, the family-friendly film based on the memoir of Benjamin Mee, Matt Damon plays an author who moves his young family to a dilapidated wildlife refuge to restore the facility and corral the animals while grieving for his recently deceased wife. As he navigates the zoo’s financial crisis and works to renovate the grounds, he grows closer to the facility’s head zookeeper played by Scarlett Johansson. Zoo is directed by Cameron Crowe and co-stars Thomas Haden Church, Elle Fanning and Crowe’s Almost Famous star Patrick Fugit. Rated PG.
