Mending headache and heartache
Patrice Johnson’s wedding day should have been one of the happiest days of her life—but a migraine turned it into a marathon of pain. Walking down the aisle, taking pictures with friends and family, even reciting her vows all proved extremely taxing. Johnson spent half of her own wedding napping in a guest room.
Fortunately, Patrice got the chance to live her day over again migraine-free, thanks to a national contest sponsored by Allergan, Inc., the National Headache Foundation and HealthyWomen. As part of the Rewrite Your Day contest, celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss helped Patrice recreate her wedding with all expenses paid at Mount Hope Plantation, complete with vows, first kiss and first dance.
“I’m so glad I had the chance to do it all again,” Johnson says. “I hope this helps other migraine sufferers realize they’re not alone.” rewriteyourday.mychronicmigraine.com
