Hark the ‘Harold’

Christmas comes but once a year, but a zany adventure like the one set off when stoned slackers Harold Lee and Kumar Patel accidentally set fire to a prized Christmas Tree is an even rarer sight. A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas is new on DVD this week and finds the titular stars six years after their Guantanamo Bay misadventure, estranged but thrown together and on a mission to replace the tree Harold’s father-in-law dearly loved on a roller coaster quest through New York City for a replacement. How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris reprises his role as a zany version of himself, and Tom Lennon and Danny Trejo co-star. Rated R.
