Think ‘Big’

It’s no harm, no fowl this week as bird watching gets competitive in The Devil Wears Prada director David Frankel’s new comedy The Big Year, out now on DVD. Steve Martin and Jack Black star as bird watchers trying to beat the score of 737 rare birds spotted in one year by nefarious champion played by Owen Wilson. No one can be trusted as the trio buts heads, lies, cheats and steals to get ahead of each other as passion turns into obsession, and they travel the world looking for rare species and a little adventure. Based on the novel by Mark Obmascik. John Cleese and Kevin Pollack co-star. Rated PG-13.
