Roundup: Abita donating Select beer sales to Gleason Family Trust … Suspect in Mike Anderson’s Seafood blaze in custody
Pour another round: The Abita Brewing Co. says it will donate 25 cents from each pint sold of a forthcoming Select brew to the Gleason Family Trust founded by friends and family of former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason. In September, Gleason announced that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Gleason is asking his fans to help name the new Select brew, which will be an Imperial Red Ale. Alleged arsonist arrested: A man arrested last month for allegedly setting fire to a Sonic in 2008 has been named a suspect in the Dec. 13 arson at Mike Anderson’s Seafood Restaurant, according to The Advocate. William E. Wise was named a suspect in the seafood restaurant fire after investigators watched surveillance video from the scene and saw a car that looks like Wise’s pulling into the restaurant before the fire was set and leaving the restaurant after the fire started to burn, according to the search warrant.
