A French Creole Christmas

Sunday, join the staff at Magnolia Mound as they celebrate a truly old-fashioned Creole-French Christmas with traditional games, French and Spanish music (performed by Baton Rouge’s South Boulevard Elementary Foreign Language Immersion Magnet), dancing by the Louisiane Vintage Dancers, demonstrations of traditional skills such as weaving, cooking, soap and basket making, wool, spinning, candle dipping and food. A bonfire ends this fun evening of traditional fun. Free to the public. 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
