Breaking Boundaries

Feel the snowdrift on your cheeks. Tremble at the aggressive rumble of the tanks rolling by. Be blown back by the speed of a fleet of B-17 bombers buzzing the German skies.

Battle is not only studied, it can be felt at the Solomon Victory Theater at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans.

Dec. 7 marks the 70th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor—the 9/11 of its day, with an assault both shocking and tragic—and there is no better time to class up a New Orleans daytrip by exploring the more than three floors of exhibits at the Magazine Street museum. Experience the war by catching a screening of Beyond All Boundaries. Created exclusively for the WWII Museum and Solomon Victory Theater, the film is a 4-D cinematic experience, engaging all of the senses with a combination of digital effects, historical props, state-of-the-art animation and atmospherics, along with traditional picture and sound.

Executive produced by Tom Hanks and narrated by many of Hollywood’s most recognizable voices, Beyond All Boundaries is a cinematic experience like nothing else.

Acclaimed Chef John Besh’s full-service restaurant and bar The American Sector is located within the theater, too.
