Fall fishing at BREC
Break out the rods and reels and get ready for some fall freshwater fishing at various BREC parks around the city. Through December 31, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has stocked various ponds and lakes with rainbow trout, in addition to the bluegill, catfish and bass fingerlings that are available for fishing throughout the year. BREC permits fishing during daylight hours at most parks, and requires anglers to have a valid Louisiana fishing license as well as abide by LDWF rules.
