My Obsession: Tiffany Dickerson, Louisiana Workforce Commission public relations, speaker and comedian
“Working as I do in downtown Baton Rouge, it is absolutely impossible to have just one food obsession! I love the burgers with the mustard smile at Harrington’s, their red beans and rice on Mondays, the tenderloin salad at Capital City Grill, spaghetti jambalaya on Thursdays at The Jambalaya Shoppe, chicken salad on toasted croissant with lettuce and tomato at Taste in the Main Street Market, that wonderfully addictive bread at The Little Village, the fried green tomatoes at Stroubes, and those onion rings at Poor Boy Lloyd’s along with Fred’s laughter and peppermint balls. If it’s not obvious by now, I love to eat! My friends hate my big appetite and small size. I really enjoy good food and great wine. Plus, dining out gives me an opportunity to network and try out my jokes for upcoming comedy shows and events on the restaurant staff. I would be greatly remiss if I didn’t also mention the two glazed doughnuts that I get almost every morning from Ms. Jane at Mary Lee’s on O’Neal Lane, because they truly help jump-start my day.”
