Had it up to ‘Year’
It’s no harm, no fowl this Friday as bird watching gets competitive in The Devil Wears Prada director David Frankel’s new comedy The Big Year. Steve Martin and Jack Black star as would-be bird watchers trying to beat the score of 737 rare birds spotted in one year by nefarious world champion played by Owen Wilson. No one can be trusted as the trio lies, cheats and steals to get ahead of each other when passion turns into obsession, and they travel the globe scrambling for rare species and a more than a little adventure. Based on the novel by Mark Obmascik. John Cleese and Kevin Pollack co-star. Rated PG-13. (Photo by Murray Close)
