Tour America’s art history

Opening this Saturday at the LSU Museum of Art, Copley to Warhol: 200 Years of American Art honors America’s rich artistic heritage, commemorating the artistic contributions of some of the most well-known American artists, including Mary Cassatt, Georgia O’Keeffe, Jacob Lawrence and Andy Warhol. Consisting of thirty paintings from the New Orleans Museum of Art collection, Copley to Warhol briefly surveys the development of American art, beginning with colonial portraiture and continuing through some of the most influential art movements to emerge from the United States.
