‘Shapeshifter’ at LSU

Next Wednesday, Sept. 21, the LSU Department of Theatre opens its Mainstage season with the wonderful tale of myths and mysteries, Shapeshifter. Set at the turn of the 19th century, SHAPESHIFTER focuses on the people of the Orkney Islands—a strong, proud and resilient culture who form close knit ties to survive the harsh and unforgiving climate of the Northern Scottish Isles. The folklore of Selkie myths, as well as the Swan Maidens, is retold by Midge, a young girl grieving the loss of her mother.
