‘Can’t Stop’ believin’
When talk show funny man Conan O’Brien was pushed out of his duties as host of The Tonight Show in 2010, he took about a week off then began preparations for a cross-country live comedy venture, the Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour. Along with sidekick Andy Richter, his guitar and swinging band and a handful of comedy well wishers like Jack Black, Jim Carrey and Stephen Colbert, O’Brien brought with him a documentary camera crew to capture all the ups and downs of the ambitious, career-changing tour. New on DVD this week, Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop is the result, and it’s 90 minutes follows O’Brien and his team while giving access to the creative process of putting on the show and developing material plus all the highlights from O’Brien’s on-stage stand-up, sketches and comedy songs. Rated PG-13.
