‘ARTiculate’ artists at Baton Rouge Gallery

Tonight, the Baton Rouge Gallery holds the opening reception for their September exhibition, featuring the works of gallery members Charles Barbier, Leanne McClurg Cambric, Scott Finch and Preston Gilchrist. Gallery visitors will be treated to Barbier’s playful and thought-provoking carnival scenes, Finch’s latest artistic endeavors which range from works inspired by the Chinese New Year to a 23-chapter graphic novel, Gilchrist’s dialogue-inciting encaustic paintings and Cambric’s ceramic celebration of the “fable of birds.” Enjoy free hors d’oeuvres and drinks while you view these new artworks from 7 to 9 p.m. And Sunday at 4 p.m., take a guided tour with these talented artists and learn the stories behind each piece.
