LRA honors Zea co-owner

Greg Reggio, co-owner of The Taste Buds Inc.—which includes Zea Rotisserie & Grill Restaurants—received top honors from the Louisiana Restaurant Association for his and his team’s selfless and tireless efforts to assist communities and people in need. Their most recent and notable contributions include leading a caravan of volunteers bringing Louisiana seafood, music, clothes and supplies to feed and entertain victims of the Tuscaloosa, Ala., tornado and leading a similar caravan to Joplin, Mo., after tornados destroyed 37% of the city. Reggio’s team also raised more than $130,000 at Liuzza Palooza to help Michael Bordelon, proprietor and co-owner of Liuzza’s Restaurant, after he was critically injured in a car accident involving a drunk driver. Reggio was named Active Member and Restaurateur of the Year by LRA, making him the first person ever to receive two awards in the same year. Quite a feat!
