‘Shock’ Hop at Red Star

Local bands Neighborhood Threat and Glam-o-Rama face off in a mini “Battle of the Bands” this Friday at the Red Star Bar downtown. DJ Bird and DJs Speedo and Travis will help you dance away those blues with an old-fashioned sock-hop—or “shock hop” as the bar has dubbed it. Come dressed as a sleazy greaser or let your inner preppy shine. The rockin’ around the clock starts at 9 p.m., with alternating sets between each group.
