Indie-cent exposure at the Varsity

It’s a night of killer indie music this Friday at the Varsity, as DIG Magazine sponsors INDIEcent exposure. Four local groups will each get their chance in the spotlight, vying for the winning title of the night and a chance to win cash and prizes—and the audience will have the chance to win prizes too, while they groove out to the sweet local tunes. Acts lined up for the night are jazz-rock fusion group The Broken Rubber Band, indie-pop rockers Pacifico, synth-pop maestros Prom Date and reggae/hip-hop band Syllable 7. Check out this homegrown version of Battle of the Bands this Friday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 at varsitytheatre.com.
