Dancing in the streets

Have you ever wanted to dance with a ballerina?

You’ll get your chance at Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre’s third annual Dancin’ in the Streets fundraiser at Perkins Rowe, Saturday, Aug. 20, from 7 to 10 p.m.

“Dancin’ in the Streets has become one of the best parties in the city and will be bigger and better this year,” says BRBT board member Brad Blanchard. “There’s not a better way to spend a summer night than on the streets of Perkins Rowe enjoying great music and incredible food and drinks from some of the best restaurants in town.”

Phat Hat will perform live, and Perkins Rowe merchants and other Baton Rouge businesses will serve appetizers and drinks.

You’ll also have a chance to win prizes in a raffle, including the “Ultimate Tiger Band Game Day Experience” consisting of a backstage pass to hang out with the Golden Band from Tigerland.

Proceeds from the event will go toward sponsoring BRBT’s community outreach programs and major productions.
