Lunch and learn: Get to know artist George Rodrigue’s wife, Wendy, at a special luncheon in the resplendent surroundings of the LSU Museum of Art. Wendy has had a unique view of the trials, successes and inspirations of her prominent husband: Her blog, “Musings of an Artist’s Wife,” provides insight into how George Rodrigue works, the evolution of his iconic Blue Dog, and other related topics. Following the meal and the talk at the museum, Wendy Rodrigue will offer a guided tour of the exhibition “Blue Dogs and Cajuns on the River,” and each guest will be registered for a chance to win a signed George Rodrigue silkscreen print worth $1,500. Tickets are $40 for members, $50 for the general public. Find out more at lsumoa.com.
