This is your ‘Captain’ speaking

When is an experimental super soldier not of the evil-minded variety? When he goes by the name Captain America and squares off against a demonic foe with a propensity for ripping off his own face. Captain America: The First Avenger arrives in theaters this Friday with Marvel’s long-standing, U.S.A.-loving super hero played by Chris Evans and his archenemy played by The Matrix creeper Hugo Weaving. After being graded unfit for military service during WWII, Evans’ Steve Rogers signs up for a top secret military experiment that turns him from string bean to beefcake with a Jason Bourne-worthy arsenal of combat skills. But it turns out he’s not just fighting the Axis powers of the 1940s, but an evil even more sinister in the form of a Nazi terrorist by the name of Red Skull. Hayley Atwell, Samuel L. Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones co-star. Rated PG-13.
