Seeing ‘Green’

In a new adaptation of the adventures of popular comic book hero Green Lantern this Friday, an arrogant test pilot is granted magical powers when he discovers an alien ring that signifies membership in an elite group of interplanetary protectors of peace in the universe. Ryan Reynolds stars as Hal Jordan who must take up the mantle of the Green Lantern to protect Earth from a devastating fate at the hands of Hector Hammond who becomes evil mastermind Sinestro. But Jordan must learn to control his new abilities and find his place about the league of green lantern warriors before he can face off against the greatest threat the world has ever known. Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard and Mark Strong co-star. Rated PG-13.
