Roundup: Lemonade Day set for Saturday … Tin Roof to open doors for Craft Beer Week
Lemonade learning: The first South Louisiana Lemonade Day, which seeks to train boys and girls on how to start, own and operate their own lemonade stand, will be held Saturday. Lemonade Day was established four years ago by Houston entrepreneur and philanthropist Michael Holthouse; in 2010 its events took place in 15 U.S. cities. Organizers for Saturday’s event in southern parishes are looking for sponsors to help provide interested children with all the materials they need to set up a stand. For more information, click here. Getting crafty: Tin Roof Brewery just off of Nicholson Drive is planning a special event for American Craft Beer Week: For the first time, members of the public will be allowed inside for tasting and tours. Guests can try out some of the new brews while grooving to live music and grabbing chow from the food trucks in attendance. Find out more info on their Facebook page.
