Cheers: The Clover Club

The Clover Club is one of those sweet, foamy cocktails that’s poised to make a comeback. You’d think by its name it would be green, but this drink actually takes its name not from its hue but from the name of the Philadelphia men’s club at which it was first conceived around 1911. It’s pre-Prohibition pedigree lends it an air of distinction, and its actual hue, a subtle pink, gives it that pastel pop that makes it a perfect Easter cocktail accompaniment. Similar to a Pink Lady, sans cream, it’s sometimes thought of as a “girly drink,” but that’s no reason to pass it up. Click here for the recipe.
