Downtown gets live
Friday, Live After Five continues with another year of awesome free concerts downtown. Since the usual locale, Galvez Plaza, is under heavy construction, Live After Five has a temporary but spacious location at A.Z. Young Park, 755 Third St., in the shadow of the State Capitol building. Every week, a new musician with styles ranging from roots rock to funk will light up the stage—continuing this year’s series, they’ve got a one-two punch of Roebucks and Bradley’s Circus, who’ll make sweet roots and rockabilly music all evening long. Buy a bite from the food vendors, take in the fresh air, and get your weekend started right. 5-8 p.m. For more information, visit liveafterfiveonline.com.
