From graffiti to magnetic stickers on cars, local independent arts organization CultureCandy is showcasing online a vast collection of local signage. This unique visual record of the city is the first of a continual collection of themed images the group will call for from Baton Rougeans in all walks of life. The project is called CC: Attachment.

CultureCandy president Malia Krolak hopes the fresh monthly themes and diverse interactive conversation of images will encourage people to take notice of the visual landscape and detail of the city in a whole new light.

“People drive to work and don’t really notice anything, but there are all kinds of art surrounding us,” Krolak says. To perpetuate a renewed interest in photography and in the city, CultureCandy will provide a new theme for its photo collection each month.
