Fete Rouge celebrity judges announced

Fete Rouge, the city’s biggest culinary festival, is happening next week—and if you haven’t bought your tickets yet, you might want to jump on it when you hear this year’s round of celebrity judges: Holly Clegg, author of the Trim & Terrific cookbook series; Chef John Folse, Louisiana’s “culinary ambassador”; and Chef Rick Tramonto, a Top Chef judge and former competitor on Iron Chef America. This trio of top-brass tasters will judge the cooking competition held on Saturday. In addition to their company, guests will enjoy wine tastings, chef competitions, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, silent auctions and a six-course wine dinner prepared by some of the best chefs in the Baton Rouge Area, held in honor of this year’s Grace Marino Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Charles Brandt. The 2010 Fete Rouge introduces a brand-new free event, the Fit Fete, and all proceeds from the weekend benefit local childhood nutrition programs.
