Baring it all at Bare Bean
As temperatures plunge, so do the necklines—at least, at one new spot in Baton Rouge. The Bare Bean, the coffee hutch perched in the parking lot that houses the Caterie and Juban’s, offers piping hot coffee served by babes in bikini tops. Formerly a different coffee shop, a crawfish shop, a snow cone stand, an ice dispensary and who knows what else, the little structure already has a storied history. However, the latest might just stick. The “bare” in Bare Bean refers to more than the bikini baristas, but the coffee, too—no preservatives, organically grown, earth friendly, sourced from a Louisiana distributor that specializes in free-trade coffee. It’s even served in a cup made from recycled paper. The building may have been many things in the past, but for those that like their beans green, it might be the new place to pull over for your java jones.
