Behold wearable art at Uncommon Thread Art Show

The Old State Capitol will play host to a menagerie of mythical creatures for the 2009 Uncommon Thread Wearable Art Show.  This year’s theme, Cryptozoology, will send works of fabulous fashion down the runway in the spirit of folkloric creepy couture, accompanied by the talented DJ Otto, local band England in 1819, and the Of Moving Colors dancers. Tickets for the seating area are $20, but standing room on the Old Capitol lawn is free. Saturday, 8 p.m.
