Bad ‘Moon’ rising

Based on the best-selling book by Stephenie Meyer, The Twilight Saga: New Moon might showcase the oddest love triangle on screens this year with teenage outsider Bella Swan caught between her vampire beau, Edward Cullen, and her childhood friend Jacob Black, who she discovers is a werewolf. Talk about taste in the wrong guys. As this sequel to Twilight opens, Bella is turning 18, but at a birthday party thrown by the Cullen clan of bloodsuckers, an accident convinces Edward that Bella will never be safe with his family around. His departure sets up a series of challenges for Bella as she draws closer to Jacob but struggles with her attachment to her undead love. About a Boy director Chris Weitz takes the reigns from the departed Katherine Hardwick, and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner return. Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene and Michael Sheen co-star. Rated PG-13.
