Fresh from the farm: The Toyota Hybrid Farm to Table Tour will be at the Red Stick Farmers Market this Saturday, with Louisiana Culinary Institute instructors and students serving samples of tasty dishes made from local farm-grown ingredients. Learn about what it takes to grow a potato and get it from the ground to your plate, and enter to win unique culinary prize packages. 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sam and Juban: Juban’s Restaurant will host a six course Samuel Adams beer dinner on October 21. An assortment of Samuel Adams Beers will be paired with culinary creations such as salt and pepper seared sea scallops with a blackberry balsamic syrup, butternut squash and crawfish soup, and blue cheese and spicy cashew coleslaw. Tickets are $65, including tax and gratuity. 7 p.m. For reservations, call 346-8422. Cooking across the world: The Baton Rouge Center for World Affairs will present an evening of international cuisine at the Louisiana State Museum with their International Cooking Competition. Chefs of international cuisine will compete, and guests will taste the fruits of their labor, as well as the fruit of the vine from dozens of countries.
